Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

3.5 四分给这是自从covid以后来影院看的第一部片子.... 大晚上夜场看的，节奏也确实慢着实有点烧脑 so beautiful but so wired not sure if it’s worth it

6.5 / 不乏一些洋溢着生命力的段落，但大体上还是漫无目的的自我陶醉。
都说堆砌符号，但是我感觉还行，没有处理好古典故事，因为古典故事也往往意味着幼稚～
以后A24应该改名叫“就不好好讲故事·24”，苏格兰高地的绝美风景配上导演的精妙构图和用光确实看得我赏心悦目，但故事外壳取材于民间传说，内核从源头设定就给一股脑推翻，高文变成了纨绔二世祖，一身坏毛病性子还懦弱，这种人怎么可能会老老实实长途跋涉履行赴死的承诺呢？这个疑问到最后导演也没给我解答，只是灌了一堆“男人要慢慢成长”的鸡汤，表示接受不能。
我没文化，必须配着知识分子写的影评才懂演了什么。有关骑士精神的暗喻是令我感兴趣的一个点。感叹一下Dev Patel资源真是不错。
以类型片作为架构的艺术探索。其实贴合了神话故事中那些不可理喻的荒诞的部分，这种反写更接近人性本质的怯懦和自私。符号堆砌的过度，但镜头的美也是牺牲了故事效率，个人还是非常喜欢这部作品的，消解了以往传统所有的传统英雄故事，但结尾经历一切后勇敢面对死亡的承诺，本质上还是升华了一个新的时代的英雄故事。
一个男孩终于鼓起勇气摘下了遮羞布，成为了骑士～
但总的来说，这是我目前最满意的一部亚瑟王和圆桌骑士相关的了！
光影和配乐都不错，男孩成长了，可又没成长。
摄影、美术、光影效果均属上乘，剧情层面属于我看不懂，也没受震撼。
改编寓言故事成大烂俗套的电影。强行升华主题反效果让人尴尬。当妈的不从小教育孩子，让他放纵不羁爱自由。临到继承关头，变几个戏法让他改过自新成为合格继承人，扯淡么这不是。烂编剧看来不光国内有，国外也一大堆啊。
高文骑士刚开始也太挫了，居然被两个女的打劫了

玩完漂流的少年派变成了小王子和狐狸先生来了一场探索大自然的森林之旅，久经考验后，他用头换来了骑士精神…
确实理想，但又有一些教育意义。
比想象中的好很多，想去看原诗作的现代英文翻译！前三十分钟的女巫作法什么的非常劝退，但是当Gaiwan离开城市之后一下子开始变得精彩。在folktale中things happen to you not for you. 所以奇遇巨人等经历好似“无疾而终”，也没有任何道德教育意义，但却在协助Gaiwan成长，让他看到这世界的多样与多变。在城堡里遇见与恋人长相一摸一样的女主人，和城堡主人的离别一吻是对原诗中对诱惑、忠诚、（异/同性）情欲很好的现代改编。有机会想在电影院里再看一次！
看得昏昏欲睡，镜头是真的漂亮，故事和主题是真的无聊（看完后看了豆瓣影评第一篇解析，很多细节豁然开朗）
