The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 3.0 攝影很美，但故事說得太慢了，且慢的沒什麼道理。自進了綠教堂之後開始走馬燈式的人生前瞻這段拍得還挺好。
意大利电影的诙谐与宏大告诉混乱的柏林这才是cinema，大师就是大师，老人与孩童一体。
一部散文诗般的电影，完全被影像氛围所感染。
洛维作为新生代文艺片导演，显示了他对于影像的把控能力。本片也值得写入今年影史的作品。

弟弟与哥哥漫长的告别，第三幕笔锋一转，以对未尽之作毫不完善的演绎总结这一波三折的"魂归故里"，在粗糙的背景板下略过了人生的跨度，乡愁中更增添了许多遗憾。
关于我不得不穿越重重试炼以在平安夜能准时自杀的这件事。
彩色部分将散落的美国符号自成文本(诺贝尔奖、香烟、美国往事)，离乡者在不可归去的欧洲幻景(母亲画像)中寄于女童身体的自我毁灭守候与重生。

爱尔兰外景后加工。亚瑟堡应该是蒂珀雷里郡的凯尔城堡，进入绿教堂之前那个缴纳忠诚的堡是奧法利郡的Charleville。这些古堡，都因为维护和旅游运营，没有被片中直陈的恐惧绿色重新吞噬和循环。电影的气氛营造和节奏控制相当不错，纵使完全没了解过亚瑟王传说和之后的英诗，看不到好多知识和隐喻，也算能伴随享受这个失去荣誉和尊严的逆向成长之旅吧。那就当是绿叶对根的情谊吧。
都是名角，相比于晦涩的故事，这部电影的视听倒是实打实的好～
有诗意，没深度，这么简单一个故事能拍俩小时也是不容易。
