The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 这片子vs《超能陆战队》的关系，就跟《失控玩家》vs《头号玩家》+《乐高大电影》的关系一样，嚼烂了再recycle一遍，并且主题都是号召大家从虚拟世界中抽身出来回到现实生活，一个交朋友，一个谈恋爱，正确但没劲，而且是一种逆时代潮流而动的感伤主义，其实对现实来说是无力回天的。我不想做这种创作，说教了。

这部影片虽然是动漫的形式，但是却探讨了当下最受争议的技术的负面影响，当然还有传统的父子之间的亲情和朋友之间的友情这些老生常谈的影片主题。整体上值得五星！

对大数据的讽刺有点意思，但故事还是挺套路的。Ron和大白有什么区别。
剧情较为低龄化，但对社交网络、算法经济、跨国企业等热点的讽刺还是颇为到位。
