The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 既成的文本已然是禁锢，而打破现有认识的结构亦是自我重复的，于是足够繁多的符号却纷纷掉落了下来，观看趣味变为了对符号拾捡的趣味，我们对大卫·洛维的期待真的只是如此吗，或者他这次终被自己反噬，从这个意义上讲，电影可以看作人类永远无法走出的困局，亦是创作难以跨越的瓶颈。

意义很好，很适合小朋友看。大狗的效果真的失真，没啥了
骨灰、棺材、坟墓，死亡是主题。沉重的历史缅怀＞盖过了这部电影本身。
诚然影片中段我也想把导演吊起来陀螺般抽打，但此片的前40分钟和结尾，通篇神话寓言的呈现，非常接近我心目中理想的电影……意象、背景、配乐、光影、调度、表演、布景。未经准备的少年在懵懂中踏上试炼之旅。高文的黄粱一梦，剪接中光阴如白驹过隙。
有些个人主义色彩，但欠缺时间感的史诗改编片。非叙境元素的运用（提示性的字幕）也把想表达的人物内在成长和经典故事本身的“传奇”属性区分开来，整体的观感挺割裂的，但表层的奇幻历程和内里主人公心灵的成长之间莫名有一种难以言说的张力

黄粱一梦，放在中国，就是得道升天，或是遁入空门的路径。
看来古典爱好者和冒险爱好者的目标群体重叠不多，分这么低。
8.1 对于传统神话故事的现代化解构，将这场冒险的起因由阴谋转为了权贵间的游戏，彻底了瓦解了骑士精神同时又赋予了高文爵士崭新的动机，一种在时间和空间错位之下非纯粹的追求，去除这种执念的他才能得以新生。电影的诸多意象符号处理的很复杂，一定程度上影响了观感，但仅就表层而言还是看得很爽的。
很稳。死亡与乡愁几乎是暮年大师们的永恒主题。看不懂是正常的！
老外的构思已经枯竭了？拍的这个是什么？一个印度人继承了亚瑟王？是在搞笑吗？是英国籍男演员，还是新锐演员，怎么不找个黑人演？全电影没有带入感，剧情也糊里糊涂.......这电影怎么过审的？
The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though
