Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
第一个故事最佳，很好地展示了伪纪录风格吸引人的地方，完整的故事背景和来自Rat Man的未知恐惧相得益彰，大大增强了剧情高潮带给人的观感刺激。三星。
第四个当个笑话看看吧，还挺好玩的
这个系列难得的是每部虽谈说不上多好，但每部都不烂，都能维持住基本水准。更加难得的是，几乎每部都有至少一个很不错甚至能扩展成长片的故事。最新的这部里第三个印尼的故事，稍加润色，填充一些首尾，加一些细节，拍90分钟一点问题没有。除此之外，第二个故事氛围渲染很不错。
这次晃得更猛了！几个短篇水平层次不齐自然是难以避免，印尼那位又拿到全场最佳。喜欢Cult片的胖友们，入股此系列不亏

够烂但也够看，尤其是最后一部神神叨叨且画质感人的美国政治狂热分子，和当今的美国人估计也差不多。。。
重金属风格伪纪录片
一部比一部拉，但仍旧是我的guilty pleasure.
但是从改造人那个故事开始就有些过于冗长了
远不及致命录像带第一部的水准，当个抖音长vlog看差不多。
整体还凑合吧...
对这一部比较失望😔。四个故事只有人形机器比较有意思，鼠人、守灵夜和吸血鬼武器都很简陋，猎奇有余，理性不足，看不到广义的科学精神，本来每个故事都具备潜在的科学质素。吸血鬼武器里面把吸血鬼的血改进成肉体炸弹令人匪夷所思。贯穿四个故事的第五个故事是最无聊的，原以为要大干一场，结果把观众当猴耍了😓。不过话说回来，背景设定在1994年，整部电影倒确实有那个年代电影的粗糙感，复古迹象很明显。
鼠人邪教那part感觉短了...
没有那味了 就血浆越来越舍得撒/看完反而回去给第二部加了一星
不是，我看了一下，导演也没换呀，怎么水平下降这么多？特效也假，像是为了伪纪录而伪纪录。前三部，特别是前两部那种惊艳的感觉没有了。
没能把握好电影与伪纪录片的界限，犯了和前两部同样的毛病。Rat man和印尼故事给好评，血腥程度很高，整体来说依旧不如系列第一部，但是好过第二和第三部。
第三个故事实验对象最为生猛，第二个丧尸惊魂夜气氛还行，就是太老套了，第四个恐怖分子大战吸血鬼感觉刚有点上头就结束了，第一个老鼠人。。。
还不错，制作痕迹很重，不像之前那种纯原生感，竟然还有转场，故事的口味还可以，除了恐怖分子那个有点墨迹，剩下的都该好，最好的是人体实验那个了，

从VHS前三部曲爱上以至于无法自拔的我这些年把大大小小的伪纪录电影都看了个遍，虽然说各有千秋，但如果提到爽感和震撼程度排名第一的，那必然是VHS系列。等了这么多年，终于来到了第四部。这一部可以说是一个外传系列，故事也推移到了94年的复古纪录风格，印尼Timo导演的东南亚血浆风格让整部影片的爽感进入了一个其他伪纪录电影无可比拟的天堂...不够看不够看，期待还有续作！
