In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 原本以为是一出《低入尘埃》式的没落演员的自我剖析，最终却成了皆大欢喜的大俗套剧。
幸运的是片中致敬的凯奇好片基本都看过，烂片基本都避雷了。就连玩梗玩的《卡里加里博士的小屋》《帕丁顿熊2》也都很熟悉，这感觉就像孙悟空逃不出我掌中的五指山。
很meta，nic cage老师很in on the joke，cage和pedro pascal的male friendship chemistry很正。但是情节很单薄，感觉真的像是边演边编出来的。
没有特别惊艳，除了猛玩尼古拉斯凯奇的梗，其余的地方都很中庸
尼古拉斯·凯奇你已经快六十了，还在拍烂片，甚至用一部电影去讲述烂片演员翻身的故事，而这部电影本身也烂得可以。
影片最精彩就是完全粉丝向的前三分之一，给脑残粉的惊喜，密集埋梗加上凯奇迷死人的嗓音，看开心了，由衷地为凯奇在片里的状态感到高兴！
一百多年来有如此多优秀的电影，这个问题的答案受限于这个季节，我现在的情绪。

我非常喜欢，尤其前半部。披着烂片的皮，讲了一个友情和成长的故事。

如果说《天才不能承受之重》是尼古拉斯·凯奇的“翻身”制作，可能有点名过其实了。通体来看，这是一部以尼古拉斯·凯奇个人为卖点——或者说以演员本人自黑为卖点——的喜剧片。又是一部预告片比正片更精彩的片子，因为开场之后不用太久我们就会发现，《天才不能承受之重》除了填充着尼古拉斯·凯奇本人过去电影作品——当然涵盖了"好片“和”烂片“——之外，无外乎又是一部我们耳熟能详的某一类型的喜剧电影。我个人是一直比较喜欢尼古拉斯·凯奇并且一直相信他是拥有演技的，但是这部《天才不能承受之重》显然不是那部让他“翻身”的电影。

这么烂的片还分析或者点评个啥。烂片王有很多佳作毋庸置疑，但这部显然不是，稀烂！
三星半 剧本一般笑料一般但是看得津津有味因为凯奇的魅力实在无法挡，各种经典老梗最好笑还是乱买东西的设计，最后，吴确实是大师。
作为爆米花都不太合格，虽然致敬了一大圈，各种元素也搞了一圈，但就是，没啥意思。预告涵盖几乎全部笑点，如果不是凯凯烂片粉，还是别浪费时间了。
还挺喜欢俩人入戏那段的，墙边诀别很好笑；家庭线虽然笔墨最多，但…。网红电影好喜欢这种万花筒海报啊
还行，但所有电影梗都让人回忆起当年凯奇的电影可是太他妈好看了。债还完了，真心希望能再创辉煌。 女儿的演员挺好看。
只是调侃了一下自己的现状，上一个调侃自己还整成电影的明星是谁呢？我不太记得
