The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 把预期放低意外的还挺好看，天旋地转的镜头着实让人晕眩。一场银行劫案的警匪对决拉开序幕，一辆救护车成了命悬一线的最后堡垒。全程紧凑推动的压迫感刺激神经，狂轰滥炸的戏码让人目不暇接，很适合一个夏日午后无脑的吃着零食打发无聊琐碎的时光，赘笔几乎没有，但塞的东西过多反而显得走马观花，喜欢这种一气呵成的快意感受，即使空洞套路却爽快又有效。一路追凶的博弈落到了良知与自我的救赎，文戏与拔高的结尾深意大可不必，我觉得可以再干脆简练点，最后再说句，老吉还是很帅的。
居然比想象中要好，赛车追逐戏还有些新意，远比速度与激情有看点。镜头虽然新颖，无人机360度视角，但确实太晃了，小屏幕看都有些难受。导演风格强烈，女主是典型的导演选角类型。文戏居然也没有拉胯，最后竟然有些小感动。劫匪救护车上帮助做手术挺有想法，作为一个为了给女儿手术筹钱治病的父亲，可以理解。但抢了37次银行的世家子弟每次计划都这么野蛮草率（但运气又特别好）的吗？杰克还去去大学学犯罪学。但还是太长了，有些拖沓。
看之前真的没想到会这么难看，毫无新意的故事配上毫无心意的动作场面，辅以迈克尔贝一贯的尴尬笑料和环拍镜头，整部电影带给我的只有喧嚣。看简介以为有三方混战，剧情反转啥的，结果真就追了大概一个小时的车，而且是那种最普通的追车戏，你哪怕学学《生死时速》呢。搞笑的是台词里还cue了导演自己的《勇闯夺命岛》和《绝地战警》，也不知道导演自己会不会因为不复当年而尴尬。
真的不如花一个多亿拍个艾默里奇版《鲨卷风》，至少人家荒谬且有趣，本片真的只有荒谬。制作粗糙的程度不输上一部《中途岛》，灾难戏份可以说毫无紧张感和代入感，而文戏无聊的程度应该是导演个人作品之最，甚至比《星际之门》、《爱国者》还要无聊，实力派的主演们一个个演得和梦游一样，于文文演了个。。。保姆？？？不过演技比AB自然多了，英语说得不错，下次别演了。

太过时了。设定离奇，故事和人物套路，还玩类型混搭。

这边是合家欢 唯独男主前妻的现任老公和女主的前夫牺牲 这就有点无语了 其他的跟咱们流浪地球没啥区别 (偶然发现Charlie Plummer参演 不然这个题材分数直接就劝退了
论观众到底想在一部迈克尔·贝中找到什么。一贯出色的场面调度，快速剪辑搭配无尿点的追车剧情，两个高颜值男女主杰克·吉伦哈尔和艾莎·冈萨雷斯。在各大片商都银根缩紧的疫情时代，能看一部大场面的迈克尔·贝电影已经是难得。
就，整个一大无语😑，罗兰艾默里奇，你为什么要把灾难片拍成科幻片，而且是一个毫无可信度的极端，这脑洞也太大了，地球都“完好无损”，老美的地下掩体能砸死人？你逗我玩呢？
8 宝刀未老，满足需求。里面毫无作用的资本女真的可以不看的。
拍的还是挺不错，还将月球内部的是人类祖先的调定挺有意思。
依旧是罗兰·艾默里奇的灾难风格，人类造物主那里有点扯，灾难场面很刺激，很久没看到过这么经典设定的灾难片了
爆炸贝新片，看得人身心疲倦，浑身不适。蛇头蛇尾，只有中间环稍微支棱起来了一下。给三星嫌多，对不起自己，给两星嫌少，对不起两男主表演。爆炸贝这次新片，拍摄技法上极度恶心人，前段大量无人机第-一视角加各种速推拉摇移，三百六十度环绕旋转镜头，晃得人眼晕。中间车辆追逐戏以平均每三秒切一次镜头的速度，各种视角来回切换，伴以时不时的手持晃动感，这样的剪辑节奏持续了近一个小时，搭配上前面造成的眩晕感，明明是2d，却像假3d。 动作戏上只有中间步枪怼直升机、五辆救护车迷惑战术、黑帮反杀警察够精彩，开头结尾看得人脑溢血，没印象了。
非要安插某些人…哎。 故事是扯的，但是我看着还行。3🌟到4🌟之间浮动…
我以为是灾难片 看着看着发现是科幻片 最后发现其实是玄幻片……
最初以为是灾难片 想着罗兰对灾难片真是情有独钟啊 结果看着看着变科幻了 而且还是那种脱离现实基础的空想科幻 放十来年前还行 怪就怪诺兰的星际穿越太硬核了 导致后来科幻片不硬科幻都不好意思说自己是客户 而软科幻作品则尽可能让自己跟硬科幻作品撇清关系 结果这种不硬不软的作品看着真的尴尬
