虽然无法参透，但无聊地联想到了我们仿佛就是 finch 制造的 jef，一生下来就必须坚持 finch 的领导，不能动摇 finch 的领导，还得坚决保护他免于伤害，更不能质疑 finch。我们还得模仿finch 的举动和口号，紧密围绕在 finch 的周围，finch 不在了，我们还要沿着他的道路走下去。。。

科幻不是重点，重点在讲人的生命与存在。借用一句海子的诗：“活在这珍贵的人间，太阳强烈，水波温柔。”能感受世界，是人之于机器的区别，也是机器迈向真正生命的开端。故事舒缓平静，也确实乏味了些。
生命不是肉体的延续而是信息的传递。多年以后,父亲壮年的背影,孩子童年的画面,母亲清秀的模样.…..都传递给了谁？谁就活着。芬奇没有死只是换了名字叫杰夫。
除了短暂的回忆场景中的人物，以及未见其人的第二辆车，以及狗和蝴蝶，全片其实只有一个传统意义上的演员。
