As its title suggests THE FABULOUS WORLD OF JULES VERNE is an awe -inspiring, meticulous cinematic rendering of the aesthetic and conceptual inventions of proto-science fiction genius Jules Verne, based on one of the famed author's lesser known short stories. However, the real star of the film is the intricate art direction, successfully rendering the visual style of nineteenth century woodcuts and engravings into motion pictures, creating a stylized and surreal graphic world within which Verne’s fanciful tale unfolds. A brilliant scientist, Dr. Roche, perches high above a stormy sea, inventing a powerful explosive, when he and his assistant are kidnapped by an evil businessman, Artigas. Taken by submarine to Artigas' volcano headquarters, Roche is tricked into developing his experiment for evil intentions. The scientist’s assistant, Simon, struggles all the while to free himself and warn Roche. A magical world of baroque submarines and sailing ships, killer octopus, undersea bicycles dazzles audiences as human actors, puppetry, animation and fanciful scenic design interact to create a cinematic experience that is unique by any standards. 武戲可圈可點，可謂近年來武俠電影佳作，瑕不掩瑜。

其实感觉还不够五星，但应该鼓励一下，有过去武侠片的味道，武打动作挺漂亮，但节奏感觉太平均没有起伏，尤其配乐，不喜欢太多慢动作，希望可以增加现场声音的收取，简单对话的可以现场收声吧，现在配音很明显能听出来，演员配音的声音会有疏离感，谢苗很不错，演技单位，武打动作没的说，谢苗值得大银幕！

放在网大里，倒也是可圈可点的作品，毕竟这种程度的剧本，能稍微有些气质出来已经是不错了。
但许久没有这样的片子了。
故事太简陋了。我觉得中国电影不好看的最主要原因就是编剧不行，导演能凑合，故事不能糊弄。

情节简单直接，动作戏还比较干脆利落，除了泡沫大雪花让人出戏之外整体有种八九十年代港片武侠的风味，当然也有不少座头市的影子。片尾音乐大赞！

可以拍成合集或者剧集，一集一个来小时，每集可以用不同的导演，讲一个类似这样的武侠小故事。格局打开了👐
