The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 东木还能保持这么高的创作力实在是令人佩服。而且本身拍出来的东西也不差，确实很温情，也很治愈。
看得出来东木老爷是真的老了 表演有点力不从心的感觉 但 还能看到老爷子在演戏 那就足够了 不是么
关于这个人物没有可信度。老爷子的金句在最后，反西部牛仔的宣言。
东木这次做了一回梦想家，但是“I can not cure old”。
看这部电影和在「奥德赛」里面去到「月亮背面的更背面」发生在同一个晚上：一次所有元素的闪回和重现，以一种奖励、感谢、以及最终最终你抵达了终点的形式发生。他所看重的，执念的，醒悟的，甚至刻板的「瞬间」都在这里集合。
基本上是轻喜剧版的骡子，东木大爷拍这部已经完全是一种老小孩的状态了，轻松诙谐，拍电影这件事对于已经90多岁的人来说已经是一个传奇了，老牛仔风姿仍存.
8.0/10，好像只是讲了一个很普通的故事，我却看的很入神。东木老师果然是讲故事的高手。

多一星给老爷子面子 其实可以更好 一直以为最后俩人会中枪然后骑马去边境 做成让子弹飞的开放式结局效果 但也很好
舒适小品，多一星给我的英雄，东木jo太郎。
平淡無奇，簡潔直接，但結尾有點感動。東木爺子此等精力令我敬佩，有些許幾個鏡頭很有感覺，但估計是因為老爺子體力不如以往，沒時間雕琢。他現在就是想多拍。多一部就是賺，拍下去！此外，還有一些台詞；結合老爺子年輕時的精力；對過往是有反思的。

故事不算完全收住，相比骡子和理查德朱维尔而言衰老似乎显而易见，自我解构与解剖也像是借坡下驴。只是老头魅力仍在，哪怕剩下的几乎是纯粹的老。Until we find each other again，真是最迷人的commitment
