A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

的确有点像《罗马》，都是黑白，都是回忆性质，但整体质量还是有差距
1. 那条街人人都认识我的岁月早已不在，但黑白对立的仇恨还在；故乡已经不可回去，但关于故乡的电影越来越多。是一部可以从place这个概念出发讨论的电影。2. 故乡是一封旧旧的情书，这部电影虽然采用了黑白摄影，但是分明的对比度和精致的画面让一切显得太新，好像杂志封面，就像演员们精致的脸庞。风格上的矛盾使得乡愁变成了时尚元素，记忆的质感被抛光打磨，因而共情力大大减弱。3. 黄色字体让人想到Roma，结尾的点题让人想起Nomadland, 东施效颦之作。

是背景本该不堪但拍得非常甜蜜温馨的私人记忆。爹妈是恩爱俊男靓女有摩擦能和好能携手进退，爷爷奶奶幽默善良大气还能倾听会表达，就算不是这卡司而是素人，也是极理想的家了。/街景的纸板感有点太强。有一瞬间我甚至都觉得很狗镇了。也许可以理解为一种风格吧。/开头结尾、几个观影观剧时刻是彩色，很工整的创意。/今年黑白的真的不少啊。/三星半。
讲故事的方式和故事本身都中规中矩，一部传统而温柔的电影，四星。然后：作为一个不停地搬家的，习惯背井离乡的人，时而不时地被各种细节打动，加半星。片尾朱迪丹奇的大特写额外再加半星。（这是一条纯粹出于独断和偏见的短评）
能感觉到作为一部私人回忆的作品承载了很多回忆和情感。彩色的电影和剧院是那个年纪最大的快乐。星际迷航和chitty chitty bang bang真的是惊喜彩蛋。很喜欢黑白片的光影，还有一些定格镜头的布局。剧情平淡如水，就像每个人的日常生活。

21.11.13电影院，没有字幕的北爱尔兰口音我是真的不太行，但应该没有影响到理解吧…整个电影院大部分都是老人，还是老人家品味更好。我旁边的那个人结尾哭到泣不成声，大概也是一个离开家乡的人。
无论摄影，布景，构图，转场，还是演员的表情，肢体表演，都很棒，但也都透着刻意的设计和机心（也可以说虚伪），把这些放到一部讲述童年往事的电影里，让人瞬间出戏。
最后居然还“献给留在故乡的人”“也献给外出的游子”“以及迷失了自己的人”，这是拍电影，不是写散文诗！
最值得记忆的点，基本上就是最后那一刻的奶奶，在琉璃门后面的脸。同为小孩作为主角的电影，童一个世界对于视角的态度比此片先锋许多。中规中矩，音乐不免对情感有反作用了。
在那个年代，爱尔兰岛因为政治和宗教而引起了诸多社会问题。而导演通过一个孩子的视角来观察这段苦难经历，这段经历给在这里生活过的每一个人——无论是留下的人、离去的人还是失落的人——心中留下不可磨灭的回忆。这是专属于导演的回忆，它让我们在历史的阴霾中依旧还能感受到导演记忆中留存的那些幽默和快乐的童年时光。
男人的乡愁永远如此平庸，不舍得过去，不敢面对未来，最后还是女人决定要离开，女人说don't look back。但总的来说，很平庸的电影。
喜欢这个剧本，表面上是简单的《我11》，内在流动的是一种离开，一种不得不成人，瓜熟蒂落的离开，一种选择，一种万箭齐发，不选不是人的选择。我们不得不走向的岔路口太多了，不见得谁好谁坏，毕竟，情谊也在马斯洛需求理论中，毕竟，活着未必比死了好。想起普希金的那句：心儿永远向往着未来，现在却常是忧郁，一切都是瞬息，一切都将会过去，而那过去了的，将会成为永恒美好的回忆。
又是一部导演的自传吧，能在琐碎杂事中把人物都塑造的很丰满，这是功力，镜头语言也很丰富，值得一看。
实在是没有什么意思，希望不要再搞这种电影了。
Be good. Behave yourself. 好熟悉。如果不是过不好，谁愿意背井离乡呢……配乐好棒，黑白好怀旧，爱！The sea is wide， and I can’t swim over.
一部包装很漂亮的电影，何必刻意去展示动荡年代，感觉拍童年快乐看电影唱歌跳舞的部分自然的多。
