The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 出乎意料的好看！儿童视角展开，像是暑假里的一次夏日大冒险，没有限额人心没有drama，只有最纯粹的正义打败邪恶爱治愈一切。小朋友组太太太可爱了，亚裔小男生很抢戏吼，大人组在这“拖后腿”但感情不拧巴好评，难得的是连最毒的teenager组都拍的春心萌动十分纯情。到最后看到原班人马再登场，明明应该没啥情怀的看到三人一鬼一起战斗还是会被触动，完美的圣诞档合家欢电影！

不得不种族歧视了，因为亚裔实在太丑了，无论男女，尤其是韩裔。剧情倒是还可以，没什么深度，但轻松，尤其傲慢与偏见的构架是怎么拍都不会出错的，可惜颜值太太太太低了，演员换掉可以给四星，演技再好点甚至可以给五星
非常真实的gay圈party生活集锦，但是这剧情要啥没啥，总是打擦边球，怎么支撑人看下去呢。
Will真的很像赵文瑄，Dex全片最美我可以。
挺无聊的，硬撑的话勉强也能凑合看完，但是既无期待也无悬念，非常鸡肋，鬼怪这种东西吧本来算是挺有噱头的内容，但是拍的实在没啥劲，两个小孩一眼就恋爱想追人的哥哥和天才理科少女但没朋友的妹妹，推进故事剧情其实挺乏力的
太mediocre了，虽然小男主小女主大男主都是我喜欢的演员，虽然甚至把老版诸位都请回来了，但气质和质量都不能跟正统前作比，更遑论超越了。
据说是借用了傲慢与偏见的。但不得不说前期引入很生硬。后面就好很多。

捉鬼敢死队现在虽然不是热门IP了，但知名度还是有的，为什么要改成这种弱智儿童剧呢？片中人物相互沟通简直是各种鸡同鸭讲，谁也听不懂谁，而且群鬼大闹纽约城仅仅过了二十年，人们就都变回无神论了，太荒谬了。感觉只是为了结尾老人物登场做的一次暖场而已，致敬不是这么敷衍的啊。
能做自己 能在夏天有个属于自己的 ron comedy 是多好的一件事
跟《尚气》只能看开头的20分钟不同，这片只能看最后的20分钟。把许多人童年的经典《捉鬼敢死队》拍成儿童片没有问题，问题是拍成了儿童烂片。一流的特效+不入流的故事。幸好最后1984年的四位队员回来露脸了。
接受不了聒噪？接受不了太基？这都什么奇怪的接受不了？片中姐妹们第一个不接受！
