The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 冷静、肃杀。敌我双方斗智斗勇，没有刻意扇情，更没有刻意黑谁。
非一般形式传记片，只是截取了北野武师从深见迈入谐星坦途这感人的一段，千里马遇到伯乐，伯乐引导的方式以及豁出脸面背后助推的苦心，实在触动人心，有对传统技艺的感慨，有对法兰西座的感怀，柳乐优弥竭力去演的半张脸，在重返的长镜头里，满含深情。
以为只是个开头的小故事 没想到就是整部电影了
前半段小武学徒生涯，后半段成名与师傅的和解。简单却又令人感动。为梦想奋斗的故事永远令人热泪盈眶，师傅的牺牲是阿武腾飞的温床，而他永远也赶不上下一个时代，悲剧性就在于此。师徒传承令人感动，选角极其成功。相比较同样题材的《火花》，更好进入，没有那么绝望，那么悲伤。

剧情紧凑 表达克制 细节到位 完成度高
以小见大，以微见宏。个人即是历史，能勾连情感即能抓人。比长津湖动人。
画面干净，讲了一个小故事，张力很足，方言台词写的很传神，时长90分钟其实可以再拍的充实些，后半段男二号刻画的有点单薄，急于收尾的感觉

表达效果不错的，但有一处明显的bug:北野武是车祸后才面瘫、不自觉抽搐的……
在水门桥的强烈衬托下本片都有点神作既视感了

土屋摘了眼镜算是じゃない方里的顶级素人了。
与质量无关，单纯觉得不像是张艺谋拍的。可能参与度较少吧，风格有点不一样。
