The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. “为人父母压力很大，这种压力从未离开过，你就像是拇指在淤青上一样。
音乐剧真是美式爱国主义的灵魂，眼泪从开头被煽到片尾。用少量演员来凝聚表现一万多人和三十八架飞机在五天内的故事，场景上的极简反而做到了最佳的想象力。
