The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 虐囚事件和赌台之间戏码该如何权衡，似乎大成问题。披着赌片外衣的犯罪片。关于21点游戏规则介绍很科普。
还算不错，就是最后的结局有点意外，报个仇还把自己搭进去了，不是应该潇洒离去，逍遥法外的吗？
不要被片名骗了，只是个复仇的故事，还是为别人复仇的故事。
期待值太高了，结果看了两次也没看进去。放弃了。
各方面都干净克制，也就用这么点干净对抗肮脏了。监狱的单一生活，牌桌上的简单数字， 写日记的习惯……终究避无可避，如同主角的名字谐音“Will Tell”一样，真相在鱼眼镜头下扭曲的梦魇里窒息，年轻人的复仇被杀和主角的复仇都在画外，没有给观众一丝释放怜悯或者快感的机会，只留下五彩灯带里牵起的双手和隔着玻璃触碰的指尖。

Schrader donne ici une masterclass de comment filmer le vide en plaçant au centre de son film une figure évidée incarnée majestueusement par un Oscar Isaac glacial au visage presque figé inexpressif. Comme un fantôme du passé traumatisant qui hante le présent, le héro ne cesse d'errer dans des lieux publics impersonnels ambiancés par une mise en scène sèche et sidérante. Conte cruel dans une Amérique sans échappatoire ni rédemption possible.

馬丁團隊的四不像劇作，似曾相識的專業賭戲+出租車司機翻版再翻版；編劇不適合當導演重要的事說三遍，被一幕幕“杯中酒”支配的感覺太詭異了…
男主很有腔调了...但整部片子实在是乏善可陈。恐吓小老弟别去犯罪回去找妈妈那段还行，其他对话表演都很尬...反正不太能领会虐囚后PTSD的情愫

7.5 导演拯救剧本。并非如通常般着重展现赌牌、监狱、报仇这样充满“男子气概”重头戏，转而聚焦情感的流动表达。
角色之间毫无chemistry 赌博线和救赎线可以说毫不搭嘎 只能为了Oscar的颜加一星
B那些鱼眼镜头还挺不错的，反应人物的内心，这片真的挺《出租车司机》的
奥斯卡伊萨克塑造出的这个形象太迷人。影片呈现了他的忧郁、审慎、沉稳，并告诉观众他的过去是如何在燃烧，却将暴力，丑恶和热烈的一切都隐去，留待想象，正是一种不忍直视。
冤有头债有主。
莫名其妙的故事，人物关系和进展也很莫名，除了一点虐囚的镜头，真是乏善可陈
玩玩牌，做做噩梦，写写回忆录，后半辈子就这样过吧。影像一如既往地冷漠疏离，只是这次疏得有点远。
