The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 初看片名以为是自然灾害之类，原来还有凶杀，不错
开头我就看麻了，荒郊野外的晚上，两个女孩答应与四个陌生男子待在一起？编剧必然是男的，没有任何一个女性敢这样做，这是常识……
国外版的“周末去爬山”，显然男主比秦昊更狠。

法鲨女友打了个酱油，里面有《魅影缝匠》的女主，整体不错的。
男主长得真可爱。
还蛮惊险的，对高空恐惧的人来说心理阴影了。人物么有点站不住脚，前男友死的也太惨了，男主反派么也忒坏了，十恶不赦那种。
爱情是一种习惯，习惯结束了，生命就结束了。
女主等待救援。
渣男一个了把人家兄妹的身体和感情都玩了后，就逃跑了下落不明，男主还为他自杀，真是傻逼呀后面还为他写了一部关于他们之间的小说，真吐了都，还不如和那老师在一起了
印度都能拍这样题材的影片了，而。。。
是个好问题：一段关系维持多久，才能让人感觉是美好的？
一般，三星基本都给了贯穿全片的文艺范以及一些细节镜头，剧情很一般，很难引起我的共鸣，特别是男主对男二的疯狂跪舔的态度，男儿却自以为是地装酷emmmm。相比较，我觉得他和文学老师或许会有更好的未来，而且我觉得文学老师更性感更迷人啊，无微不至的关心以及帮助真的太赚好感了。其实最打动我的是姐姐在修女的鼓励下突破传统束缚，奔向自由的那一段，背景音乐太棒了！
他有喜欢的人，只是得到了以后就不再喜欢了。一个渣男伤害了两个人的心。好在他们都成长了。
人生就是这样，能让你变得更好的那个人往往不是陪你走到最后的那个。
蠢，剧本太蠢。拍的太差太蠢了，散着一股人类刚学会拍电影的单纯气息，配乐可惜了且浪费了这么好的卡司，制片厉害就是不一样啊。撞入房子那一刹就猜到了绑架和逃命.......我自己都没想到竟然猜对了。太蠢了，真的是越看越蠢，男主真的是蠢到一个让人不知道如何用语言形容的境界。另GoldenDawn是很严重的一个问题，但也不是这么拍的......
攀岩➕惊悚，题材有点新，但女主的剧情能动性比较弱，几乎靠反派自己作死。
奔着攀岩惊悚类型来的，结果攀岩没看头，就坏人使坏其他人无力抵抗来着……
