The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 有画面唯美的《萤火虫女孩》，
小兔和萤火虫有点被改编束缚住的感觉，萤火虫确实美术很细腻温暖，参与过才能真正体会工序的繁杂。短片集的一个好处是可以展现不同社会环境下的家庭样态，对翼娃子里孩子在摊位桌板下做作业的情景印象很深，很好地表现出“人们如何艰难地活下去，在知道小火车的伏笔后第二遍看从开始就会觉得很感动，教人勇敢振作，和《雄狮少年》有异曲同工之效。

7个故事有好有差，但总会有那么一两个能触碰到你的内心
想起小学卖糯米饭的早餐店，同时经营佛雕生意，晕着浓厚的木屑香气。现在吃糯米饭总觉得少点童年的木屑味。只能用画笔重描绘这些不可再复现的特定记忆。
3星给形式尝试，但说真的，国内绘本创作真不行，多是成人视角，还有些是作者儿时记忆，差距太大了
中国故事、中国美学，也可以如此细微，如此戳动内心深处，基于真诚、热爱、善良、天真。太好了。水墨动画、地震重建、闽南城市与爵士配乐、外婆那个小小而满满的铁皮盒子、小吃店的作文本，这就是中国人的生活啊。
见到了心心念念的毛毛导演！心里的小芽芽又长了起来～向着番剧导演努力吧！
