The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一开始觉得声音和监狱走廊的拉伸感蛮好的（质地接近升级版的广角麦芽糖？），但后来感觉这些乍看新奇的东西被很多倒胃口的设计拖下水了（比如说那种近似中国城市夜景的灯光秀）…… 在保罗施拉德的作品里比较次等。
算是蛮讽刺的故事。复仇和扑克毫无关系，但是也是人生无法像赌博一样算出几率
以全片做铺垫为了引导别人看爽快血腥的复仇结局。。。结果就这。。。

走性冷淡风的导演不该找伊萨克的，他紧实的屁股和壮硕的大腿让整个画面都非常不性冷淡
只是单纯觉得既然叫The Card Counter那这个身份还有设计的赌博元素应该有更实际的意义才对。总觉得这部分跟救赎部分融合的并不很好。
如果集中营里的那些纳粹士兵们呐喊他们也是受害者，反正我是不认的！

人生如牌局，男主的冷静与隐忍是为了做个社会化的“好人”，但没有正确释放的权欲和攻击欲最终都要找到一个宣泄的出口。导演的童年生活对心理影响应该挺大的。
在3和4之间。
摄影和配乐都很好，但是故事不够戏剧化，多了真实感，却过于平淡让人食之无味，弃之可惜。
可惜的是，畸变的画面将创伤展现得很好，理解和爱的说服力则没那么强。
算和被算的人生，背后是“逃不出五指山”式的隐痛。
太难看了…配乐一响起来就困到不行…
隐藏在赌桌之下的复仇，但并没有激昂的情节，相当克制甚至拖沓，
3/5，这片就写了能算出牌却预见不到眼前人的命运，感觉牌技大佬这条线没啥卵用啊，科普了那么多赌博方法，我看的一脸冷漠～～～
以为能看到类似赌神的剧情，看来想多了。。。
电影通过倒序描述一个赌徒的人生，来达到揭开国家的黑暗面，导演希望通过这样描述来得到观众的共鸣。可见在美利坚人眼中，容不下那些冰山一角的腐败，他们追求着一个完美的平等的法治国家，想对于地球的另一面，铺天盖地的黑暗，他们已经幸福很多了。
