The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 今年最可爱的同影出现了，来自菲律宾的《游戏男孩》大电影，从剧集衍生而来，在发糖的同时也讲了两个男孩冲突家庭束缚的自我认可，最后终于性福了，而且是同类电影里好难得的互攻，冲这一点再加一星，四星推荐，喜欢同影的别错过，绝对可爱到你。

前一部分真的甜到我了，到中间那个Susan阿姨出来的时候，简直要把人看的生气死了，她真的是话多的聒噪的很，事儿还管这么多，你管好你自己不就行了吗？你管人家的家事干什么，而且有够双标的哈，人家说你的家事就不行，你还一直叭叭叭的问人家，您真好意思！还肆意的揣测别人。哎，真的心疼Gav.…但是他们三个吵架，然后痛哭的时候，那个演技真的有惊讶到我，说实话还蛮不错的。剧中的防疫措施还是跟第一季一样严谨，那啥的保护措施做的也不错嘛，哈哈。唉，虽然他们暂时分开了，但是我相信第二季会甜回来的。等着第二季的到来！
很不错的b级片，当极端素食主义者要弄死你的时候，干脆拿起武器活活弄死他们，实在爽。
又是粉丝文化催生的肥皂剧，说实话看下来真的很无聊，这么高的评分着实欣赏不来
主创真诚演员的演技感人，格局挺大的并没有拘泥于小情小爱而是更加着重在描绘疫情期间，人的精神处于很vulnerable的状态下时，人与人的链接朋友们的陪伴对于精神健康是至关重要的。对于角色之间的情感链接的层次感，还是描绘的挺充分的，并没有说为了媚粉设置很多大可不必的skinship，配角的戏也挺好的，不多不尴尬。
令人焦虑和窒息的电影！尤其强迫症的人！真受不了！真想上手打人！每一个人活脱脱，走马灯一样的展现！太牛了！这电影实在厉害！

真的很好看，两个人的爱都很深，没有杂质，期待第二季😭
几乎是全剧一镜到底真是看得比1917还过瘾，虽说没有什么大人物大事件，但鸡毛蒜皮的突发事件和那些完全没防备的依据吐槽骂街或者挖苦真的看得人头皮发麻，真实。
神户肉真xs，很多冷冷的梗，假期消遣下不错。

又是为绝美爱情哭泣的一天！两个人之间的磁场真的绝了，cp感满满的up，太配了太配了太配了！每一个镜头的氛围都特别好，凸现了一种东南亚特有的风情，真的很棒！
给我拍第二季！！！！！爱死这两个男孩了，之前电视剧好喜欢gav，喜欢他一口一个baby，电影版好喜欢cai，他好真诚好勇敢！
