Troye对中国gay文化一直是具有正向意义的，他也同样拥有超高演员天赋，片中的脆弱感如同甜茶在《请以你的名字呼唤我》，而那种青春的倔强感如同多兰在《我杀了我妈妈》。马卡龙的色彩，浸入极具Troye灵魂与情绪的影像，细碎的青春台词和他天使般的面庞打破线性剧情，每帧与配乐在一起美到极致。任何一种疾病都应该去污名化，不管是艾滋病，还是心理疾病。
